The credits behind the teaching.
Real work for real artists, on records you already know — taught from a commercial studio in Melbourne.
The best of both worlds — in person, then online.
The model is borrowed from tech: just as intensive boot camps replaced four-year computer science degrees, our Accelerated Music Producer Courses give you the skills to launch — in weeks, not years. You’ll train across audio engineering, production, and the business of running a studio or launching your record.
In person, up front
Learn the craft fast — intensive, hands-on, at a real commercial studio in Melbourne. Real sessions on pro gear, from day one.
Online, to reinforce
Lock it in through our online portal. Revisit every technique, in your own time, as many times as it takes to own it.
Mentoring, if you want it
An optional add-on — twelve months of guidance from working producers, with a network of mentors in your corner the whole way.
Change how the next generation of producers launch their careers.
University isn’t the only path — and for most producers, it’s the slowest and most expensive one. Our mission is simple: save students years and tens of thousands of dollars, and give them the skills to become independent and sustainable in their own businesses.
Not “exposure.” Not theory. The real craft, the real techniques, and the real-world business knowledge to make a living from music production.
Sold already? Skip the two-year detour.

Simon Moro
Simon Moro has spent over 25 years as a mix engineer and music producer. Early on, he noticed something: not every artist finds it easy to communicate their vision — and the final product can drift from the heart of what they meant to make.
So he built a process around empathy, mindset, and precision, to keep the finished record true to the artist. That instinct for understanding an artist was sharpened during his training under Grammy-winning engineers Michael Brauer and David Kahne. His work spans a client list that includes Sony, Mushroom, Netflix, and Eurovision, alongside ARIA #1s, multiple ARIA-nominated releases, and a top 2% global producer ranking (verified by muso.ai). He’s also taught Sound Production at university level, helping shape the next generation of producers.
What sets Simon apart is how much he loves teaching it. He’s run production workshops for Melbourne Music Week and St Kilda Live ’n Local — including mixing masterclasses and women’s-only production workshops — and has been mentoring aspiring producers for more than a decade. Friendly, professional, and genuinely invested, he founded the Academy of Audio to give producers the start he wishes existed when he began.
“The start I wish existed when I began.”
“I learned more in the first day than I did in the first two trimesters of my time at university doing audio engineering.”
You’ll learn from a team, not a textbook.
A wider faculty of working producers
